A new Nepali musical film, ‘Pir Manaima’, has been released, blending an emotional story of love, separation and pain with the striking landscapes of East Rukum.
Presented by Big Nepali Films Production, the video was filmed across more than five villages in East Rukum over nearly seven days. Hills, traditional settlements and natural surroundings play an important role in the visual storytelling, giving the musical film a strong sense of place.
The song features vocals by Shanti Shree Pariyar and Rabin Bhusal, while Rabin has also written and composed the track.
The musical film stars Bishal Nepali and Gita Dhungana in the lead roles, with Rabin Bhusal, Amrit Sunar and Khum Bhandari appearing in supporting roles.
Directed by Bishal Nepali, the video presents a love story shaped by separation, memories and emotional pain. Rather than following the format of a conventional music video, ‘Pir Manaima’ uses a more cinematic narrative approach.
The natural locations of East Rukum are one of the video’s key attractions, with the landscape becoming part of the mood and emotional journey of the characters.
